OR AEK played with player more in the longest match against OFI in Crete, but it took an 87th-minute goal from Martial to pull off the upset and win 2-1 for matchday 14 in the Super League.
With Nous receiving an early straight red card, AEK took the numerical advantage in the game, but OFI took the lead with a terrific shot by Karahalios and made it difficult for the Union. However, Matias Almeida’s team found the equalizer with Mukudi’s header before half-time and managed to complete the upset with the in-form Martial in the 87th minute of the match.
AEK thus achieved an important double in Crete and took the three points, which kept them within a shot of the top of the Super League standings.
The game
AEK entered the match more aggressively and tried to “pressure” OFI from the beginning, losing their first chance in the 6th minute, with Levia Garcia shooting from a side position in the area and sending the ball to the outside of the net.
