Specifically, Mrs Kerameos posted in her posting on social media:
“We welcomed today the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, to the new Disability Certification Center, which we founded in Galatsi. Over 3,000 our fellow citizens per month can already be served in the new, modern, fully accessible center, with extensive parking available.
Our goal is to improve the daily lives of our fellow citizens with disabilities and, so we go in three directions:
- We improve the building infrastructure: New KEPA in Galatsi. In the coming months, there will be a new, modern, fully accessible KEPA at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.
- We are boosting the human resources: We have already more than doubled doctors serving in KEPA from 500 to 1,200 in recent months.
- We simplify and digitize procedures: a recent example of expanding the list of irreversible diseases, which will no longer require repeated certification.
The result of all of the above: In one year, the pending appointments at KEPAs have been reduced from 30,000 to less than 10,000 and we continue to try to reduce waiting times and increasingly better serving citizens.
We would like to thank the administration and staff of E-EFKA for the excellent and methodical work and the Mayor of Galatsi, George Markopoulos, for the excellent cooperation in the operation of the new KEPA in Galatsi. “
