Issued the invitation to irrigation works EUR 500 million Ministry of Rural Development and Foodthrough regions, as announced by the ministry.
Applications for irrigation projects that will be submitted exclusively electronically through the Integrated Information System of Common Agricultural Policy (OPSAKAP), accompanied by the required supporting documents/documents, will be accepted from June 10 and until September 5.
The action is co -financed by the European Agricultural Fund of Rural Development and the Greek State with 100%.
“The invitation of € 500 million for new land improvement projects marks the transition to a modern, sustainable and durable agricultural production. Through the Strategic Plan of CAP 2023-2027 and in close cooperation with the Regions and all competent bodies, we are essentially investing in the infrastructure of the primary sector, giving priority to rational water management and energy efficiency. ” Resources, reducing production costs, increasing the country’s irregular land and, ultimately, enhancing the competitiveness of the Greek farmer. This is a strategic choice with long -term benefits for rural growth and the national economy. “
The total budget of the intervention is EUR 169,000,000, while with the possibility of over -resource overtime, it is expected to be allocated to approximately EUR 500,000,000.
It is noted that beneficiaries for the submission of relevant proposals are:
- Ministry of Rural Development & Food, General Directorate of Rural Development, Department of Land Improvements and soil Resources.
- Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, General Directorate of Hydraulics, Port and Building Infrastructure, Directorate of Flood Professional and Land Registry.
- Regions (competent services that are responsible, in accordance with national law, for the design and training of the program of the relevant projects).
The invitation credits will fund projects that relate to:
- Modernization of existing irrigation networks as well as their relevant supporting infrastructure.
- Renovation and replacement of electromechanical equipment.
- Water -struck projects and concomitant irrigation networks.
- Energy -saving projects in irrigation.
- Supply and installation of telemetry and precision agriculture systems.
- Use of recycled water.
- Projects of artificial groundwater enrichment in a network renovation by drilling.
Finally, it is noted that the intervention applies to rural areas across the country with a minimum budget of the Action Support Application to set EUR 5 million (including VAT) and the maximum amount of EUR 105 million (including VAT).
