In Rhodes and Halki the 8th Environmental Escape of Attica Group

Attica Group, with the participation of 90 employees – volunteers, was found in the islands of Rhodes and Halki, from 8 to 11 May 2025, carrying out the 8th – in a row – environmental escape, an important environmental and educational initiative under the program of responsible and sustainable development.

The action was implemented in collaboration with NGOs (NGOs), Aegean Rebreath and planet agents, with the aim of enhancing the environmental education and raising awareness of the students and a substantial contribution to the protection of the marine ecosystem of the two islands.

Environment & Education in Schools

On May 8 and 9, more than 650 students in 5 Rhodes elementary schools participated in interactive, environmental educational activities designed and implemented by the “Planet Agents” team.

The aim of the program was to contribute to building environmental culture, through the implementation of experiential, educational programs that help students take an active role in protecting the ecosystem of their islands.

Environment & Cleaning Sea

With an emphasis on protecting the marine environment, Attica Group has worked once again, with the pioneer in environmental activities with NGOs, Aegean Rebreath, participating in the cleaning of the seabed in the port of Mandraki, Rhodes as well as on the island of Halki on May 10 and 11.

More than 90 employees in the group were found in the two islands to help protect the marine environment by voluntarily participating in the action. Within two days, the volunteers under the guidance of Aegean Rebreath collected more than 3,800 recyclable objects, including plastic, tires, metals, aluminum, glasses, ceramics, etc. which were subsequently classified per material, with the next station, recycling.

The 8th Environmental Escape is an initiative that unites knowledge with action, creating added value for local communities and future generations.

From 2021 to the present, 8 actions have been carried out in Naxos, Paros, Kos, Santorini, Lesvos, Poros and Chania, with the most recent of Rhodes and Halki. Through steady collaborations with NGOs, schools in schools and the continued support of its volunteers, Attica Group constantly confirms its commitment to a sustainable future, turning environmental responsibility into a collective act and case.
