“President Powell did not discuss his expectations of monetary policy, in addition to stressing that the course of politics will depend entirely on incoming financial information and what this means for prospects.”

In addition, the announcement stated that Powell and his colleagues in the Fed remain committed to defining monetary policy based on “careful, objective and non -political analysis”.
