Irini Murtzoukou complains of being beaten by hooded men in Omonia – “I had fallen down and they were kicking me”

He complains of a brutal attack that he received at noon on Friday (6.12.24) the Irini Murtzoukou from hoodlums in Concord.

As Irini Murtzoukou claims, unknown men wearing hoods over their faces beat her in the middle of the street in Omonia, shouting at her “murderer!”.

“I was in an alley in Omonia. It was one in the afternoon. I was going to take a bus to my sister’s. There, as I was walking alone, I was attacked by four guys with hoods over their faces. They were beating me furiously in the ribs and stomach. They called me “the murderer!” She killed her children!”. I had fallen down and was being kicked. I had folded my body so as not to receive many blows. Luckily there were some homeless people there and they shouted at them and left after a while. They told me here and if they kill you no one will know. I’m in a lot of pain. I am very bad physically and mentally. I have been in bed since yesterday, unable to move or speak. They bring me painkillers to drink”, asserts Irini Murtzoukou.

Despite the beating she claims she suffered, the 24-year-old did not go to the police station to report the incident nor did she file a lawsuit against strangers, as happens in these cases.

“I didn’t go to the police. What should I tell them? There’s no point, they’ll never find them. So many were in the center yesterday. There were also enough for the marches because of the day. It could be one of them. That’s what the people there told me: “they pass by, knock and leave”.
