Israeli media: Trump and Netanyahu crushed on the phone for Iran – “I want a diplomatic solution,” the US president said

The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahuand the US President, Donald Trumpthey had a strong telephone conversation last week on how Iran should be tackled, according to a report on Israeli television on Monday (26.05.2025) – as opposed to public announcements for a good climate of the two leaders.

According to Channel 12, the conversation was characterized by strong disagreements, with Trump saying to Netanyahu: “I want a diplomatic solution with the Iranians. I believe in my ability to achieve a good deal ยป. The US president also allegedly emphasized his interest in an agreement that will serve the interests of both sides.

For his part, however, Netanyahu’s office denied that it was a “tense conversation” with Trump.

It is recalled that last Thursday, after the Trem-Netanian phone callthe Israeli prime minister’s office said in a statement that the two leaders “agreed on the need to ensure that Iran did not acquire nuclear weapons”.
