THE Donald Trump sends a clear message: ‘USA does not seek to make socks“! With this attack, the US president once again wanted to win the impression, agreeing with what Finance Minister Scott Besed had said, that the United States does not necessarily need a “blossoming textile industry”.
Specifically, Donald Trump said today, Monday (26.05.25) that His tariff policy aims to promote domestic production tanks and technology products and not to make sneakers, t -shirts and socks in the US.
Speaking to reporters before boarding the Air Force One presidential plane in New Jersey, the US president said he agrees with comments made on April 29 by the finance minister Scott Bessed.
“We do not seek to make sneakers and t -shirts. We want to make military equipment. We want to make great things. We want to make artificial intelligence, “Trump said.
‘I don’t seek to make t -shirts, to be honest. I don’t seek to make socks. We can do this very well in other places. We strive to make microprocessors and computers and many other things, and tanks and ships, “Trump said.
‘We want to make guns and tanks and ships, not T-shirts and socks’ – Trump wants to jump into a new arms race.
