“The Greek government has no political, legal and moral right to justify and ultimately to support these crimes”
A joint statement to the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis about the dramatic moments experienced by the Palestinian people by the state’s military operations Israel The presidents of his parliamentary groups sign SYRIZA Socrates Famellos, of KKEDimitris Koutsoubas, of RearAlexis Haritsis and her SauceZoe Konstantopoulou.
The joint statement comes after a relevant initiative of the KKE, as the Secretary General of the KKE Parliamentary Group, Dimitris Koutsoubas, “in the face of the dramatic developments experienced by the Palestinian people due to the brutality of the State of Israel. This – and in the capacity of UN Security Council’s non -permanent member – to take relevant initiatives on the following issues:
– Stop all the military operations of the State of Israel in Gaza.
– Now all the humanitarian diodes open so that it can be sent immediate help, water, food, medicines and doctors, to treat the famine for the Palestinians.
– To condemn the Greek government the crimes of the State of Israel.
– Immediately put the unanimous decision of the House of Representatives in 2015 and to recognize the Palestinian state at the 1967 border with the capital of Eastern Jerusalem. “

The people of Palestine are experiencing dramatic moments. The state and the Israeli government are stepping up military operations in the Gaza Strip with a proclamated purpose of clearing it by the Palestinian population. In this context, they even refuse to provide humanitarian aid, bringing the Palestinian people to face the threat of famine. Partial or total extermination of a population is genocide. The UN has warned that thousands of babies are in danger in Gaza due to malnutrition and lack of drugs. In Gaza and in front of the eyes of mankind, there is a real genocide that to date has resulted in more than 61,000 dead, 119,000 injured and hundreds of thousands of uprooted, in their vast majority of civilian population.
Daily and on a large scale, there are individual acts of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes, in violation of any concept and provision of international law, international humanitarian law and international criminal law, and in complete contradiction with their people. The International Criminal Court, founding Greece, has issued a arrest warrant against Netanyahu for international crimes.
In view of all these critical developments, the Greek government has no political, legal and moral right to justify and ultimately support these crimes. It must – and in the capacity of UN Security Council’s non -permanent member – to take active, urgent and clear initiatives to stop the Genocide at the expense of the Palestinian people, to tackle the humanitarian crisis, to recognize the Palestinian state at the 1967 border.
The following signature parliamentary groups, through their presidents, send a statement to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs to take initiatives in the following directions:
– All the military operations of the State of Israel in Gaza now stop and have a truce.
– Now all the humanitarian diodes open to immediately send help, water, food, medicines, health material and doctors, to treat the famine for the Palestinians.
– The Greek government explicitly and unequivocally condemn the crimes of the State of Israel, at the expense of the Palestinian people, against workers and volunteers, doctors and nurses, to humanitarian organizations and missions trying to help the humanitarian assistance.
– The Greek government interrupts military cooperation with the state of Israel.
– The unanimous decision of the House of Representatives of 2015 and to recognize the Palestinian state at the 1967 border with the capital of East Jerusalem.
– To invite, under the responsibility of the Speaker of the House, the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mr. Mahmoud Abbas in the Greek Parliament in order to inform the Greek people of the situation in the Gaza Strip and a total of Palestinian territories.
