Friday May 30th start Nationwide exams of GEL and EPAL candidates in order to claim one of the 68,788 positions in higher education for the upcoming academic year.
The GEL candidates will be examined in the first lesson of Panhellenic Exams on May 30, Modern Greek language and literature (General Education), while EPAL candidates will be examined on May 31 in the lesson of Modern Greek.
Then, for GEL candidates, on Monday, June 2, the exams for the Ancient Greek (Humanities Orientation Group), the Mathematics (OP of Positive Studies and Economics and Informatics Studies) and the Biology (OP Health Studies).
On Wednesday 4 June the GEL candidates will be examined in Latin (OP of Humanities), the Chemistry (OP of Positive Studies and Health Studies) and the Computer science (OP of Economics and Informatics Studies).
The exams of the nationwide examinations will be completed on Friday, June 6, with the courses: History (OP of Humanities), Natural (OP of Positive Studies and Health Studies) and Economy (OP of Economics and Informatics Studies).
Correspondingly, the Pan -Hellenic program for EPAL candidates is as follows: Start on Saturday, May 31, 2025 with the lesson of Modern Greek. Continued on June 3rd, examination in mathematics (algebra). The exams in specialty courses will follow from June 5 to June 16th.
Finally, it is worth noting that the exams of the special courses will be conducted from June 14th to June 25th 2025. Similarly, the conduct of health examinations and practical testing of candidates (GEL and EPAL) for admission to the Departments of Physical Education and Sports (TEFAA) from 16 to 16.
Useful information and basic instructions
In view of the start of the Pan -Hellenic, it is important that candidates are aware of key points in the process so that everything is smooth.
It is therefore recalled that the start of the exams is set at 8:30, but the candidates should have come to the exam rooms no later than 8:00. The duration of the examination is 3 hours.
With them, candidates should have the following:
– ID or passport card.
– Examination of Pan -Hellenic Examinations.
– Blue or black pen. It is worth noting that a pencil is not allowed to be used in the answers unless it is defined by the instructions on the subjects. Candidates are allowed to have eraser and sharpener with them.
– Geometric instruments for the lessons they need.
– A bottle of water or juice.
– Hand watch, but not smartwatch.
However, Candidates are forbidden to have the following with them:
– Books, notebooks and notes.
– Blanco of any form (liquid or tape).
– Mobile phone and other means of transmitting or receiving information and communication, computing machines.
Course end in high schools and exams
As mentioned above, the end of the Baccalaureate Exams (called “In -School”) for the students of the 3rd High School is set for tomorrow, Monday, May 26, 2025. The deadline for the issuance of results is on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, two days before the exams.
Regarding high school promotional exams, the exams for the 1st and 2nd High School will be completed by June 13, 2025. June 20 has been set as the deadline for issuing results.
Regarding the Gymnasiums, the last bell of the year will be heard next Wednesday, May 28, 2025 and the conduct of promotional and diploma exams is scheduled for by the Ministry of Education to take place from 3-16 June 2025.
