At the SYRIZA-PS headquarters in Koumoundourou Square was welcomed by Socrates The president of the European Left Party, Walter Baier.
At the heart of the meeting were the dramatic developments in Gaza and the genocide at the expense of the Palestinians. The need for meaningful European intervention was highlighted and the crucial role of the European Left and the progressive forces was emphasized in order to have humanitarian aid and to stop bloodshed.
Also, the SYRIZA-PS President stressed that the core of progressive policies should be the great values of life, such as the big issue of peace and in this direction the European Left Party is taking initiatives.
The need for the Left Pan -European to submit specific solutions and proposals for public policies and public goods such as health, education, water and housing, which must be at the basic obligations of every modern European state:
“The ruling Left can change the lives of citizens. And with the priority of the needs of society we need partnerships and social dynamics. For this reason, we have been a SYRIZA-PSP over time to choose the collaboration with Europe’s progressive and ecological parties, ”he said and added:
“Progressive parties must work in Greece as well, but unfortunately this is not the case. SYRIZA-PS reliably claims the cooperation of the progressive forces in Greece, while other parties deny it, and must strengthen and strengthen it to defend both social interests and progressive government outlet. “
The debate has also moved around the housing crisis, with Socrates Famello pointing out that it is now a major social problem, which is also linked to the demographic crisis in Greece and therefore SYRIZA-PS has also raised the issue in its recent proposal of 10+1 points. SYRIZA-PS proposals include the integration of government policies on housing, social housing, protection of first home, market regulation and short-term lease and implementation of demographic and decentralization policies.
