The American army announced today Wednesday (21.05.25) that he is not planning to celebrate the president’s birthday Donald Trumpwhich coincide with the festivities for the 250th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces on June 14th.
Donald Trump, who will be 79 years old that day, intends to have a central role in the celebrations, in which soldiers will fall by parachutes and will donate to him a golden flag. Army will also organize A parade on Syntagma Avenue of Washington, one of the central roads of the federal capital.
The parade was not included in the original design of the celebration and was only added at the beginning of the year. Democratic politicians and others accuse the US president of trying to usurp the event.
When asked if there is a plan by which the army will officially recognize the president’s birthday, his representative, the Steve gourénhe replied: “I don’t think we have such a plan. These have always been the birthday of the army (…) We had 249 previous holidays. We are excited that the commander -in -chief (US President) is interested in the 250th anniversary of the army and will want to attend the celebration, he added.
Celebrations will cost the army $ 25-45 million. The parade will participate in chariots M1A1 Abrams and other heavy vehicles. The Armed Forces are already taking steps to protect the roads of the capital by placing metal plates in some areas so that they do not suffer damage from the tanks. If there is any damage, the cost of repair will be borne by the army.
