The EU is sending a new proposal for US trade agreement

OR European Union sent to USA A revised commercial proposal as it is trying to agree with the Donald Trump government, according to a Bloomberg report.

The new EU proposal includes US interests, international labor rights, environmental standards, economic security and gradual reduction of duties at zero for non -sensitive agricultural products as well as for industrial goods, according to the same report.

The document sent to officials in Washington earlier this week also describes mutual investment and strategic supplies in energy, artificial intelligence and digital connectivity.

A spokesman for the European Commission refused to comment.

The EU aims to cooperate with the US and is seeking a balanced and mutually beneficial agreement, according to Bloomberg. The sides are still considering each other and the committee will probably need the Member States before the commencement of official negotiations.

EU officials and many Member States remain skeptical of the fact that the Trump government is moving with similar goals and have stressed to their counterparts that prosperity on both sides of the Atlantic is deeply intertwined.

At the same time, the EU is preparing countermeasures if the negotiations do not result in a satisfactory result.
