Mitsotakis from the Ministry of Health: From July 15th the four -digit number 1566 starts on NHS issues

THE Kyriakos Mitsotakis During his visit to the Ministry of Health, he announced that by July 15, a telephone number, 1566, will operate any questions about the health system. Calls will be free and will support the rest of the communication channels.

“It will be another important help to citizens so that they can get answers to difficult and complex problems,” the prime minister said.

He said that his visit to the Ministry of Health was held in the framework of regular meetings “to overview the progress of the new NHS route plan as we were committed”.

He noted that many and serious things are being done on many fronts, referring to the timely completion of all programs funded by the recovery fund, the progress in cost management and how to use new digital tools to control medical and pharmaceutical expenditure.

“We have said that any resource savings will come back,” he said, saying that there is a real revolution in digital health.

In particular, he described the digital dossier patient as a pioneering application at European level and also spoke of changes in on -call.

“The effort is to improve the waiting times and the patient’s experience in on -call. I express my satisfaction that the waiting lists of surgeries have begun to decline, ”he continued, while pleased and excited said to the fact that the preventive programs have led our 2.5 million fellow citizens to have a preventive examination.

Mr Mitsotakis made a special mention of mental health issues, especially children and adolescents for whom he said they are a more sensitized conquest and speak more easily.

The prime minister stressed that it was a challenge for the NHS to support and welcomed the work done by the Ministry of Health as a whole.
