At 1,208,535 arrivals stood out and at 2,728,326 overnights in accommodation Hotel -type, campsite and short -lived collective accommodation (rented rooms) in March this year, increasing compared to 2024, by 3.5% in arrivals and 3.3% in overnight stays, according to ELSTAT.
Specifically, as ELSTAT figures show, there was a 4.7% increase in arrivals and 3.7% in foreigners’ nights. Correspondingly, there was an increase in arrivals and overnight stays by 2.7% and 2.9%, respectively.
A greater contribution to arrivals and overnight stays in total accommodation was observed by the domestic with 57.9% and 54.9%, respectively. The average total overnight stay was 2.3 days.
