Specifically, according to the statistics of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), passenger traffic from January – April 2025 reached 13,804,391, compared to 12,645,721 passengers in the corresponding period of 2024.
Flights
Regarding the number of aircraft movements (arrivals and departures of domestic and external aircraft) for the first four months of 2025, in total 39 airports in the country, the CAA was mainly carried out by the CAA, a 6.5% increase in 2024.
Specifically, 116,707 flights were made in the period January – April 2025, compared to 109,603 flights in the first quarter of 2024.
CAA Management Airports – 14% rise in passenger traffic

In particular, according to statistics: The total passengers (arrivals and departures of external and domestic passengers) January-April 2025 amounted to 1,415,331 passengers, compared to 1,241,640 passengers in 2024.

Heraklion Crete State Airport served in April 595,306 passengers, ie 22.2% increase compared to last year, whenever 487,303 passengers were served for the same month.
At the same time, the most significant percentage of passenger traffic at the CAA Airports in April 2025 compared to 2024 were recorded at Kastelorizou Airport +68.1% and Kastoria Airport +58.9%.
