One free and new application In mobile tablets and computers puts an end to the hassle of Attica residents as it shows in real time which pharmacies they are on call.

The problem was serious and chronic. As Constantine Lourantos admitted, speaking at an event by the Attica Pharmaceutical Association last week, the on -call pharmacy in Attica were published for many years in a completely “anarchic” and wrong way.
The new system does not interfere with a human hand as it is automated, using algorithm and does not make a mistake.
“There were once pharmacies that made up to 190 on -call calls a year – outrageous! – while others much less. In beautiful municipalities, pharmacies were side-by-side on the same day. This has now been corrected: The distribution is done through an algorithm, which regulates shifts based on geographical and population criteria, “Mr Lourantos said.
Now, every pharmacist can exchange his on -call on -call if he is unable to accomplish it, but if he is not found replacement, he is obliged to do it – as he typically said, “The call is like a perspective in the army. It is a duty, “the FSA president said.
If the citizen finds the on -call and complaint pharmacy closed, the pharmacist is disciplined.

Similar applications in areas in the rest of Greece
FSA is not the only one moving in this direction: similar applications already operate in Heraklion Crete and in Imathia.
However, in Attica – where more than half the population of the country lives – the need is more urgent, as unevenness is greater: other areas are sparsely populated, other densely populated, other inaccessible.
Deficiencies on pharmacy shelves
