OTE Group: Rebrand and Official Magentaone’s launch brings a new era

The launch of the first service of COSMOTE TELEKOM Consolidated ID presented today (15.5.2025) by the Group OTE at a journalistic meeting.

Specifically, OTE’s new service, named Magentaone, is the Rebrand of the Cosmote One program, maintaining its benefits and adding more.

For the first time a world of products and services is created, which connects telecommunications services and non -telecommunications: mobile, fixed, television, food orders, online bill payments, and even insurance.

The only prerequisite for activating the new service is for the customer to have at least one mobile connection (contract or card) and a fixed or Cosmote 5G WiFi connection.

Why did the OTE Group proceed to rebrand?

“The OTE Group understands the changes in the environment and is therefore adapting and changing. The last time we had rebranding it was about ten years ago. The brand must be refresh at intervals depending on the needs of the market, “said Panagiotis Gavriilides, Chief Commercial Officer Consumer Segment of OTE.

“What has mainly changed in the last decade is the brand Universe, the environment of the principles in which our brand is active,” Mr Gavriilides noted.

More specifically, Mr. Gavriilides emphasized that “there is a global phenomenon that is not only about COSMOTE, but all Telekom’s”, adding that “we are no longer competing with other Telekom’s, but worldwide brands, great players who raise their customer’s and customer. It is recalled that Cosmote, a very powerful brand in the Greek market and number one brand in telecommunication for decades has joined forces with Telekom, a worldwide brand in telecommunication and within the top 10 brands regardless of industry.

“Through our new brand, Cosmote Telekom, we get an international footprint that creates goodwill for all stakeholders,” Mr. Gavriilides said, stressing that “it’s a one. strategic move aimed at bringing Telekom’s power and know -how to Greece. “

As for the logic of Magentaone, there is several years in almost all other countries where the group operates. “We gather them all at one point and the customer manages them all by means,” said Nikos Freeris, OTE Group Product Marketing Director, as part of the presentation.
