Socrates Famellos: “We throw cheap green energy in the trash”

Meeting with representatives of the Panhellenic Federation of Photovoltaic Electricity Producers Associations (POSPIEF) was held on Thursday 15/5 in Parliament, the President of SYRIZA Progressive Alliance, Socrates.

Socrates Famellos initially adorned the “criminal policy” of Hatzidakis-Skreka-Skylakakis, which leads to large cuts by RES energy produced. “All of this captures the wrong and unjust choices of the ND in terms of designing and licensing works by renewable energy sources,” he said.

He also pointed out that in the absence of planning in the licensing and location of RES and storage batteries, as well as overall with the policies of the Mitsotakis government in electricity, small and medium -sized producers “pay” it with the loss of their property and their investments, as well as consumers.

“The impasses of Mitsotakis policy are now expressed by large cuts in energy production, especially by small and medium photovoltaic parks, which leads to bankruptcy if they cannot pay their loans,” he said and added:

“These cuts are made with opacity while there is no compensation for energy producers who pay the government’s criminal mistakes. Thus, thousands of small green energy producers stop production because the electricity market operates without a wild West terms. “

The president of SYRIZA-PS has pledged that the parliamentary group would submit a question for green energy.

“It is tragic in Greece in 2025 for Mr. Mitsotakis'” excellent “to throw green energy into the sea, paying consumers in expensive and bankruptcy of the SMEs of RES,” he concluded.

POSEFEV representatives expressed their anxiety because, as they pointed out, at the pace of the energy landscape and with the rules of no way increased electricity production, – which is not stored – the energy democracy is trampled on and the small and medium -sized producers are being suffocated.

The meeting was attended by the MP of Aitoloakarnania and Tomarchis of the Environment and Energy of the KO, Miltos Zambaras and the Director of the KO, George Bakis.

The President, Panagis Ioannis, Vice President Nikas Aristides, GG, Kyanidis Ioannis and the Board Member, Tokas Asterios, participated.
