Civil Protection measures that will apply to Santorini Until November 15, 2025, a new joint ministerial decision of the Ministers of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, National Economy and Economics, Interior, Citizen Protection, Development, Social Cohesion and Family, Maritime and Island Policy, Tourism, Tourism, were published in a new joint ministerial decision.

The JMD incorporates the unanimous recommendation of scientists, following the recent emergency meeting of the permanent scientific scientific committee of the seismic risk and reduction of seismic risk, as well as the permanent scientific monitoring of the Greek volcano, for reassessment of the Hellenic Volcano Complex, due to geodynamic phenomena in Santorini.

In particular in accordance with the JMD:

(a) At the port of Athiniou and on the road network of the Athinios Bay Athinios (New Port of Fira) it is decided to take the traffic control measures of the landing vehicles, with a priority landing of the vehicles and then the buses and the trucks, so that there is no traffic and them on it. Positions A and B on the road network (defined as attached to JMD – Annex I) will remain free spaces to be used as emergency spaces. It is forbidden to park all kinds of vehicles in the above positions.

b) In the Old Port of Fira and the upstream area, which includes the port area of ​​the Old Port of Fira, the facilities of Teleterik, the Fira – Paleo Port Trail, access and stay is allowed. Access and stay in areas A and B of the port that are bordered on the attached photo map (Annex II).

The number of people present in the port area should not exceed 350.

(c) The settlement of Armeni Oia is prohibited from accessing and staying in the eastern part of the settlement that is bordered as region B on the attached map of photo interpretation (Annex III). In the Borded area B, any use of a hotel business, short or long -term lease and operation of a health shop is temporarily suspended. Access and stay in region A. Access to the port facilities of A (Annex III) is permitted by sea.

d) Ammoudi I. Settlement I. on the municipal road to Ammoudi is prohibited from traffic and crossing all kinds of vehicles, from the intersection of the Oia Ring Road to Ammoudi Port. This prohibition excludes supply vehicles at 05.00 am. until 10.00 am and up to 15 private passengers (EIH) cars up to 15 seats, which will run over by the Municipality of Thira to facilitate the movement of visitors. Vehicles are allowed to and from the island of Thirasia.

Ii. Access and stay (Annex IV) is prohibited on the Ammoudi Walking Trail – Cape ‘Akrio Nikolaos.

III. On the Ammoudi – Ammoudi Walking Trail – access and stay up to 50 m before entering the residential fabric of Oia (Annex IV).

Iv. The settlement of Ammoudi is allowed to access and stay within region A (Annex V). In region B (Annex V) any form of access and stay is prohibited. Allowed by sea access.

(e) Access and stay is permitted in the Korfi Thirasia.

The above is valid until November 15, 2025 for the purpose of protecting residents, visitors and employees.

3. In cases of intense geodynamics or hydrome -sided phenomena, the above may be suspended, amended after a recommendation on a case -by -case basis of the Risk Assessment Committee by the manifestation of weather and all kinds of political protection, the permanent scientific committee Greek volcanic arc.

4. Violators hereof, regardless of criminal or civil liability, are also subject to administrative sanctions in accordance with Article 157 of Law no. 187/1973 (A ‘261) and whose provisions, in terms of the height, the type of sanction and the way they enforce them are applied according to the staff of the Greek Police.
