K. Mitsotakis: Visit the new EKAB Donation Plane in Elefsina, donated by ISN

The new state -of -the -art airplane that joined the EKAB fleet for aircraft, donated by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, saw the Prime Minister at Elefsina Air Base at Elefsina Air Base. Mr Mitsotakis was informed of the capabilities of BeechCraft King Air 360C, for which the official receipt ceremony took place today. The new plane has the ability to run long distance flights and can be used for both patients’ repatriation and tasks associated with organ transplantation.

This is the fifth volatile medium for aircraft that Greece acquires through the international health initiative. The previous four, two fully equipped Augusta Westland 109 Trekker helicopters and two BeechCraft King Air 350C planes were delivered in 2021 and have since carried out almost 3,000 airlines, contributing essentially to human life protection throughout the territory.

All three planes, types of 350C and 360C, are designed for the simultaneous intercourse of up to two heavy patients, with equipment equivalent to mobile medical units. They also have incubator for neonatal transport.
