The Regional Conference of Crete started in Heraklion, PASOK-KINAL which ends in the afternoon with a speech by President Nikos Androulakis.
The Conference includes party executives, local bodies, organizations and self -government representatives, in the presence of the party’s president, while the themes to follow are: “a green and viable Crete”, “an extroverted Crete”, “A Resistant Crete”.
In her address, at the opening of the Conference, Anna Diamantopoulou, a member of the PASOK Coordinating Political Center, referred to the three, as he said large units of PASOK since its inception to date, related to work, Greek production and the region. “They are the modules that are affected today and where our policy for them is not the best of the best and the improvement. “The region is deserted, in a demographic Greece,” Ms. Diamantopoulou said in her address, commenting that in addition to the three sections she sets since her establishment as the base of the party, “the core of the movement is the national strategy for the country’s sovereignty. We are a country that does not give birth, a country that is getting older, next to a generation of Turkey. For this reason, our goal is a very strong Greece at all levels that will be able to play a dominant role. “
From the step of the Crete Regional Conference of the Party, a member of the PASOK-Machine Political Center noted, among other things, that the themes of the event highlight today’s necessities for a Crete that must be extroverted, resilient and the younger generation should take over.
“The goal is to hit inequalities between states, between the regions, among citizens and to make a strong Greece,” Ms. Diamantopoulou said, adding that water is the biggest problem for sustainability even for Crete.
“In the report that the European Commission on Water Policies, which started in 2004, is the only country in the Mediterranean and Europe, which has not put a single euro and has not presented a plan for a holistic water strategy,” he said.
