Zeka’s farewell message
“Tomorrow I close a chapter of my life. After 18 years as a professional footballer, it’s time to say goodbye to the stadiums.
They were years full of dreams, sacrifices, successes and lessons. I lived moments that I will never forget – in training, in the races, in the locker room, in victories and in defeats. I fought in clubs that will stay in my heart forever: Kaza Pia, Vitoria de Setubal, Copenhagen and Panathinaikos. I was a leader. I wore the jersey of my national team. I lived the dream I had as a child.
None of this would be possible without the right people on my side. I thank the presidents who believed in me, the coaches who guided me, the staff who took care of me, my teammates with whom I shared so many battles, my family and my partner who supported me so much, and of course my agency.
Tomorrow is not the end – it’s the beginning of a new road. But I take with me all that football gave me.
Thanks for everything. Through my heart. “
