The total value of imports in March 2025 amounted to EUR 6,973.6 million ($ 7,513.8 million) compared to EUR 6,720.1 million ($ 7,284.7 million) in the same month of the year 2024, increasing to euro, 3.8%, according to ELSTAT.

The corresponding value without petroleum products in March 2025 increased by EUR 254.6 million, ie 4.8%, while the corresponding value without petroleum and ships in March 2025 increased by EUR 254.4 million, ie 4.9%, compared to March 2024.

At the same time, the total value of exports, in March 2025, amounted to EUR 3,935.7 million ($ 4,265.8 million) compared to EUR 4,295.5 million ($ 4,684.2 million) in the same month of the year 2024, down to € 8.4%. The corresponding value without petroleum products in March 2025 increased by EUR 203.1 million, ie 6.7% and the corresponding value without petroleum and ships in March 2025 increased by EUR 205.9 million, ie 6.9%, compared to March 2024.

The trade deficit in March 2025 amounted to EUR 3,037.9 million ($ 3,248.0 million) compared to € 2,424.6 million ($ 2,600.5 million) in the same month of 2024, showing an increase of 25.3%. The corresponding value without petroleum products in March 2025 showed an increase of the deficit by EUR 51.5 million, ie 2.3%, while the corresponding value without petroleum and ships in March 2025 increased by EUR 48.5 million, ie 2.2% compared to March 2024.

The total value of imports during the period January-March 2025 amounted to EUR 20,423.6 million ($ 21,436.0 million) compared to 20,344.4 million euros ($ 22,019.7 million) over the same period of 2024, increasing to € 0.4%. The corresponding value without oils increased by EUR 590.5 million, ie 3.9% and the corresponding value without petroleum and ships increased by EUR 615.4 million, ie 4.1%, compared to January-March 2024.

The total value of exports in January-March 2025 amounted to EUR 12,130.1 million ($ 12,799.8 million) compared to € 12,342.9 million ($ 13,441.5 million) over the same period of 2024, down to € 1.7%. The corresponding value without oils increased by EUR 660.1 million, ie 7.6% and the corresponding value without petroleum and ships increased by EUR 668.9 million, ie 7.8%, compared to January-March 2024.

The shortage deficit in January-March 2025 amounted to EUR 8,293.5 million ($ 8,636.2 million) against EUR 8,001.5 million ($ 8,578.2 million) over the same period of 2024, increasing to € 3.6%. The corresponding size without petroleum products decreased by EUR 69.6 million, ie 1.1% and the corresponding size without petroleum and ships decreased by EUR 53.5 million, or 0.8%.
