Spain’s Minister of Inclusion, Social Security, and Migration, Elma Saiz, said that the new changes that will become effective this month will eliminate obstacles for international students to study and work simultaneously in this country.
In addition, the minister also stressed that the study permit will be extended to the entire duration of the training, after it is inconceivable that a sudden irregularity could happen, in Schengen.News reports.
Saiz told el Desconcierto that studying and working up to 30 hours per week will be compatible, even in sectors that are not related to studies, and that there will be a fast-track, so once the studies are completed, there is no need to return to the country of origin to later return to work in Spain.
The migration process doesn’t have to be rigid; one can come to train in one subject, but then find a job in another so that they are also fully qualified.
The Spanish Minister of Inclusion said that the Spanish model is a beacon of light in terms of advancing reactionary waves that denigrate migration. Besides, she emphasised the impact that emigration has on the economy.
