St. Peace the Great Martyr
St. Great Martyr Irene trained in the 4th century AD. He was a daughter of Lykini, who was the king of a little kingdom, and of Licini. He came from the city of Maladon and was originally called Penelope.
When the saint became six years old, Licini’s father closed her in a tower and commissioned her education to an elder, named Apoliano, who wrote the memoirs of this martyrdom.
One night Irene saw the following vision: a dove entered the tower holding the beak of the olive branch, which he left on the table. There was also an eagle carrying a wreath of flowers, which he also placed on the table.
Then came from another window a crow, who put a snake on the table. In the morning he woke up he was wondering and thinking about what he saw. So he was told to Elder Apolianos and he interpreted them as a precursor to the wreaths of glory and its witnessing end after its baptism.
In Christianity it was attracted to some cryptocurrencies, which, due to its honesty and its virtues, had great appreciation by Penelope’s parents and had been placed by them as the therapist of their daughter. A priest, named Timothy, secretly baptized the young hegemony and renamed her peace.

In the city of Mesimvria of Thrace, Agia Irini was killed, but with the power of God it was resurrected and the Commander and the whole people were in faith. Finally, the saint fled along with her Apolian teacher in Ephesus of Asia Minor, where she stayed many miracles and honored as a true Isapostic. There he developed a great deal of action until the day of this Dormition, in 315 AD.
Her synagogue states that in Ephesus the Saint found a Larnaca, in which no one had been buried, she entered it and slept with peace. Before her sleep, St. Irene had ordered no one to move the tombstone, with which the Apolian teacher would cover the Larnaca, before four days passed. But after two days, Apholian and the others visited the grave, who saw that the tombstone was raised and Larnaca vacuum.
According to the western witnesses, St. Eirini testified in Thessaloniki after being thrown into the fire, and during the month of Emperor Basil II, St. Irene was finished by beheading.
