The Foreign Ministry is condemning the Transition of Turkish President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other Turkish officials in the occupied territories in order to inaugurate a project that highlights and promotes the secessionist entity, in violation of international legality and the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
In this context, the character attempted to be given to the illegal visit is in full function with the rise of Turkish rhetoric on “solution of two states”, while at the same time revealing the Turkish intentions for complete control over the occupied areas of Cyprus.
The visit is followed by Mr Tatar’s recent statements about the expectation of further actions to promote the pseudo -state, as well as Ankara’s efforts to impose its will on Turkish Cypriots on issues related to the cultural identity of the Turkish Cypriot community, such as the Turkish Cypriot community.
Erdogan: not in the port proposal – insists on 2 states and sovereign equality
It has been added to the ongoing violations of the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Cyprus, which the international community has condemned.
At a time of severe fermentation with the aim of creating conditions for re -opening UN negotiations and achieving a solution to the Cyprus issue on the basis of the relevant resolutions of the Security Council, as well as yesterday Cyprus, such actions and placements undermine the whole effort to progress for meaningful negotiations, and are contempt for international law and the United Nations.
The government remains committed to the supreme purpose of reuniting our homeland, based on the agreed framework of the United Nations, and to ensure the well -meaning interests of all Cypriots, in a free occupation and a reunited homeland, a member of the European Union.
