A clear message in favor of the radical change in the way the State operates was sent by the historic PASOK official and former minister, Kostas Skandalidisreferring to the need to revise permanence.
In his statements to SKAI, Mr. Skandalidis stood in the complete absence of the law that he had passed in 2003 to evaluate the administration based on objectives, results and profitability indicators. As he recalled, the law was re -adopted in 2009 under the New Democracy government, but it was never implemented.
“The evaluation of the Greek state is laughing,” he said. Criticizing the government, the former minister wondered: “We come every time and say evaluation. Will Mitsotakis’ state evaluate? “
Elsewhere in his statements, Mr. Skandalidis took a stand in favor of his constitutional abolition Permanence in the State, But stressing that this alone is not enough. As he said, “I am in favor of passing the Constitution to abolish permanence”, however, noting that “there are no administrative units that are judged on the basis of their work in a specific time so that the employee can be evaluated afterwards.”
For the former minister, the question is the overall restructuring of state function: “You first change the structures and then you start evaluating on the basis of specific criteria,” he said.
