The President’s National Security Advisor USA, Donald TrumpMike Walts, and his deputy, Alex Wong, will abandon their posts, sources from Reuters and the US CBS information network said.
Political developments in the US are rapid, as one of Donald Trump’s closest associates leaves the National Security Consultant with his deputy.
The two officials will leave their posts later in the day, the sources said, saying that the reason for resignation is related to the US Department of Defense Ministry’s gradual information case, also known as “Signalgate”.
Mike Walts was a member of the US delegation that participated in negotiations with Russia and Ukraine to reach a peace deal, which took place last March in Saudi Arabia.
