National Benefit and Benefits Register: What is, when and how to apply

A new bid map is pregnant with the national register Bid and Benefitwhich is planning (as decided in the last cabinet on 28.4.25) to put the government on a pilot basis since the middle of this year, after a relevant provision will be voted on to come to Parliament in the near future.

The reason for this register in which the Ministry of National Economy and Finance will be collected by the Ministry of National Economy and in particular the State Accounting Office, all the benefits and benefits paid by the State (regardless of the Ministry) to citizens as social support.

Safe information from newsit.gr reports that not only OPECA benefits (eg minimal guaranteed income, child allowance, etc.) and DBA (eg regular unemployment benefit), various vouchers (eg, are also gathered in the National Registry).

In the first phase, the benefits of OPECA and DBA will enter the register, then OPEKEPE and finally the benefits of EFKA, and even the rent return which will apply this year in November.

Such as Yesterday (29.4.25) the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Pierrakakis, saidthe government aspires with the new bill on the National Benefits Registry to monitor whether the benefits are taken by those who need to control the process in the whole process.

Through the Registry, the Ministry of Finance will acquire a comprehensive picture of those who receive all kinds of social support from the State.

The same sources told Newsit.gr that after the full operation of the Registry, any benefit beneficiary will be able to see what and how many allowances it receives from the State (in the Myergani standard) but it is not foreseen, for the time being, to make a single submission platform for all benefits.

In other words, it is foreseen to maintain the autonomy of each entity (eg OPECA, DBA, EFKA) through which any interested party can currently apply for the payment of one or the other allowance, pension, etc.

According to the same sources, the other sources of the Registry, according to the same sources, acquire the Ministry of Education in a centralized image of the benefits that every citizen receives, and more specifically the characteristics of the basic groups of the beneficiaries, for example age, origin (how many Greek nationals and how many immigrants are).

And so in order for the government to pursue a more targeted social policy.

The possibility remains open whether some “accumulation rules” (ie some ceilings) will be set at a uniform level for all benefits and benefits, as applicable to the benefits that each body gives separately.
