Specifically, the Dow Jones rose 0.75%, while the S&P 500 won 0.58%. Both indicators scored the sixth consecutive day in profits, marking the largest series by July for Dow Jones and November for the S&P 500. Nasdaq rose 0.55% to Wall Street.
An important role was played by US Minister of Commerce, Howard Latnik, who in an interview with CNBC characteristically stated: “I have a deal, ready, closed. I am simply waiting for the approval of the Prime Minister and the Parliament on the other side. ” The Stock Exchange has reached the highest levels of the meeting after the comments, as Wall Street is closely watching for evidence of progress in trade negotiations.
