According to a report by ESPN journalist Jonathan Givoni, Erlley Stojakovic pledged the university after his departure from that of California.
Stojakovic – who has not yet decided whether to represent Greece or Serbia at the level of national groups – chose Illinoi, a college in which the Zvonimir and Tomislav Ivisic brothers fight.
The 20 -year -old regional appears to be the Illinois team’s chosen one to fill the “gap” of his roster, with ESPN in contact with Stojakovic and conveying his statements.

“I think the main reasons were quite clear in my narrow circle as a basketball athlete. The coach was very aggressive in his attempt to bring me from the beginning and repeatedly repeated how much they wanted me and needed me as a player there. They really believe that I was a piece that I was missing.
I look forward to joining a team where I can bring the ball and have a shooter everywhere in the parquet. I can also be a shooter, play at the edges when someone else brings the ball. Having the ability to be one of those guards who can handle the ball helped me a lot last year. The confidence that coach Manchen gave me helped me to be this ball handler. I am confident that I can go to a team of the top 25 teams and do the same.
I am sure we can become one of the best offensive teams in the country, but it will take a great deal of defense. We have to emphasize the little things. This will start with the guards, we have to set a tone that may surprise partial world. We are ready to surprise people defensively and I think we will do great things, ”he said.
