Very important support measure characterized the subsidies power -A announced by the Government and the Ministry of Environment and Energy- for bakery and pastry shops, the president of the Thessaloniki bakers, Elsa Koukoumeria, speaking Monday (28.4.2025), at Ertnews.
“The RIS has once again recognized that our businesses are energy -efficient, so it announced to us (businesses with CAD 10.71, 10.72 and 96.10 bakeries, pastry shops and cleaning) double electricity subsidy, 4 minutes per kWh. The measure is moving in the right direction, as 60% of our businesses have made some type of electricity regulation, “said Ms. Koukoumeria.
“After this support, which is the second largest we receive, we are waiting for the creation of a clear energy program, because the high current cost is what has led many businesses in our industry to close,” she said.
Referring to her own business, Mrs Koukoumeria said that the quarterly report had a consumption of 27,000 kWh, which means that it would receive about 1,180 euros in total, which characterized it significantly. “These amounts mean that for the new power account to come, it is covered by the subsidy of about 70% of it. It’s a good breath, ”he said.
As part of the report, another example was given a bakery with a turnover of 300,000 in 2023 and a monthly consumption of 6,000 kWh, which will receive a total of 320 euros, ie 120 euros a month, as long as the monthly increase in power due to high prices.
The president of the Thessaloniki bakers also stood in the fact that the subsidy procedures are simple, without bureaucratic obstacles.
At the same time, however, he asked for a turnover of a turnover of more than € 10m, which the Ministry of the Environment and Energy sets as a limit to the subsidy.
