Iranian President Massoud Pezkian ordered an investigation into the incident and sent the interior minister Escandar Moumeni, who said that efforts to extinguish the fire and not spread to other areas were continuing.
Minister told state television that the 80% of fires Causted had been extinguished until this morning.
The explosion was so powerful that they broke glass windows many kilometers around Badar Abbas, near the straits of Ormouz, destroying containers and their content, the state media reported.
The president of Russia Vladimir Putinhe offered Iran aid to face the consequences of the explosion and expressed his condolences to the victims’ families, the Kremlin said today.
In fact, the Russian president ordered the mission of firefighters and rescuers to Iran to help extinguish the fire raging yesterday at the port of Badar Abbas.
Putin conveyed “words of sincere support and support for the families of the victims as well as wishes to recover to the injured,” according to a copy of his message published on the Kremlin website.
