The government’s support policy continues to tackle the growth of honor of power during the winter months.
The Ministry of Environment and Energy announces today (25.4.2025) the amount of subsidies on floating electricity invoices for the period from December 1, 2024 to 28 February 2025, in order to cover the average increasing increase in the power price for these months.
The aid framework concerns businesses with a turnover of up to € 10 million, ie more than 1 million businesses.
More specifically, includes 3 groups of businesswhose subsidized electricity consumption rates are determined on the basis of their annual turnover.
- The 1st team concerns legal or natural persons doing business, with an annual turnover of financial year 2023 from € 0 to EUR 500,000. The subsidy is 0.02 minutes/kWh and applies to 100% of the consumption of the beneficiary business.
- The 2nd team concerns legal or natural persons doing business, with an annual turnover of financial year 2023 from 500,000.01 euros to EUR 1,000,000. The subsidy is 0.02 minutes/kWh and applies to 80% of the consumption of the beneficiary business.
- The 3rd group concerns natural or legal entities carrying out business, with an annual turnover of financial year 2023 from EUR 1,000,000.01 to EUR 10,000,000. The subsidy is 0.02 minutes/kWh and applies to 60% of the consumption of the beneficiary business.
At the same time, businesses with CAD 10.71, 10.72 and 96.10 (bakeries, pastry shops and cleaning) will benefit from 0.04 minutes/kWh subsidies, which apply to 100% of their consumption regardless of their turnover.
It should be noted that the beneficiary list excludes companies that have made a fair rheumatic. These cases amount to 32,000, resulting in a total of approximately EUR 3 million, which will be allocated to the total budget of the aid framework.
The Minister of Environment and Energy, Stavros Papastavrou, made the following statement: “We continue to support Greek companies as a counterweight to the average rise in the current price they experienced last December, January and February. In this way, the Ministry of Environment and Energy Protection for domestic consumers and businesses is completed from the summer of 2024 until today. The government is reinforcing the protagonists of the economy in practice. The support policy has been shaped within the permissible limits set by the European Union, but also on clear terms of social justice. Businesses that had made a regulated rheumato for the first time are excluded. It is completely clear that anyone who is not involved in collective obligations will not be able to enjoy collective privileges.
