THE Panathinaikos lost with 79-76 by Efes of Anadolu In the second game of Euroleague playoffs and now he will have to win in Turkey if he wants to qualify for the Final 4 of Abu Dhabi.
In turn of the playoffs at 1-1, Panathinaikos needs a break at Anadolu Efes’ headquarters to restore the “battle” to the OAKA and to “fight” to defend its title in Euroleague.
The “Greens”, however, are now called upon to find “answers” against the Turkish team, since in the second game of the two teams, they have had the same problems.
‘Trapped’ in Efes’ defense Nan
Centric Nan was a little lacking to prevent Panathinaikos defeat in the final, but after a big scorer, he missed a two -way shot and extension a fate of his team.
For a second consecutive game, however, Central Nan was not the one who was used to Panathinaikos fans and the one who became a few days ago MVP of the regular Euroleague. Luca Banki is clear that … he prefers to be excluded from the other “clover” players and leaves free shot to always have two and three players on the American guard.
The Efes coach’s plan has worked in both games so far, with Nan succumbing to many mistakes (he had 4 in the second match) and Panathinaikos will have to find solutions aggressively, with Matthias Lesor outside the Euroleague playoffs.
Open “wound” the Panathinaikos racket
Panathinaikos’ second big problem has again to do partly with the absence of Lesor with an injury. The gap in the center’s position has not been effectively filled by the “Greens” and despite the … heroisms of Huanzo and the offensive “flashes” of Jurcheven, the racket continues to be an open wound for the Ataman team.
The Turkish coach was furious in many phases with the defense of Jurcheven, and Efes had a “party” with Poirie and Oturu, before he came to kill Panathinaikos Larkin in the final of the match.
The two crosses in the Turkish team have defeated their opponents in the racket in both games and the “Greens” should at least … limit the damage to Turkey in order to reach the break and qualify for the Euroleague Final 4.
