‘Alarm’ raised the Fire Brigade on Easter Monday afternoon (21.04.25) for one touristwho fell from a height of 25 meters in the Samaria Gorge In Chania.
The young tourist from the Netherlands was inside the Park in the Samaria Gorge on his own when the accident occurred, which resulted in his serious injury, with rescuers firefighters immediately setting up a rescue operation.
The Dutch man was identified by a group of Greek walkers, who through 112 informed the competent services.
Indeed, information from the Athenian-Macedonian News Agency (RES-EIA) reports that members of the group stopped the bleeding that the injured had and helped him recover his senses.
Following the update of 112, an operation was initiated by a Fire Brigade Officers, and rescuers of the 3rd EMAK.
Helicopter from Elefsina was also mobilized for the immediate transfer to Chania Hospital, which transported the Dutch wounded to Ag. George Chania.
His state of health remains unknown so far.
