The Romanian is wanted for murder of Monica Gius, whose body was found “cemented” in the yard of their house, in Cypress, is located at Eindhoven Airport, shortly before being handed over to the Dutch authorities.
The 39-year-old makes his last statement, before being handed over to the airport police department. “I am Peter (…) and I came… I am at the Eindhoven airport, the police are behind me and I came to surrender and I believe in the Greek Justice that we will find out what happened to the fatal incident”, he says in the amateur video broadcast by the main ALPHA news bulletin.
Developments are expected in the coming days, as his lawyer, Vassilis Noulezas, has already initiated the procedures for the extradition of the Romanian to Greece.
“I would never get to the point of killing a woman I loved and lived with. “I will be at the disposal of justice in the coming days to answer all the questions but also to help find the real killer”, the 39-year-old Romanian told newsit.gr, on Friday afternoon (17.09.2021).
According to the forensic report, the crime was committed around five to six months before the body was found, which coincides with the disappearance of the 39-year-old Romanian.
