After just 2 lost games, Stefanos Tsitsipas felt unwell and left his quarter -finals at the Barcelona Open. Specifically, after 2-0 in favor of Artur Fis, the 26-year-old left for the locker room with a medical timeout. He then returned, but after the 30-40 leading the Frenchman, the Greek champion finally left the match.
In total, the Greek tennis player stayed in the court for 15 minutes.

As the Barcelona tournament was officially confirmed, the Greek champion left his fight due to a waist injury.
Tsitsipas did not have a press conference, no other statement after his quarter -finals. The Greek champion is expected to lose 2 more positions in the world rankings, retreating to No.18.
Stefanos Tsitsipas’s next tournament is Madrid’s Masters (23.04.2025) and remains to be seen if he will be able to compete.
