Transfiguration: Youth with a motorcycle did not stop in DIAS mark – collision with IX and an injured

The chase incident unfolded on Holy Thursday night in the Transfiguration area. It all started at nine and ten in the evening, when DIAS police officers patrolling Tatoi Avenue signaled a motorcycle with two occupants to stop for checking.

The two young riders, however, allegedly ignored the police signal and tried to escape, developing speed. A pursuit followed on the streets of the area.

The course of the motorcycle ended abruptly at the intersection of Lyra and Kalyftakis streets. There, under conditions being investigated, the engine allegedly collided with a passing car.

From the collision, it is reported that the motorcycle driver was injured. An ambulance took him and transported him to Evangelismos Hospital for the necessary medical examinations and care. The second passenger of the motorcycle, his peer, is reported to have been brought by police to the scene.

According to the same information, both involved in the incident with the motorcycle are Greek nationals, born in 2005.
