Four dead and injured in critical condition, is the tragic report of accident with cable car to Italy.
The tragedy unfolded early Thursday afternoon (17/4/25), on Mount Faito, just outside Naples, when the cabin of a cable car fell, according to the Italian news agency Ansa, citing sources near the rescue services.
“The cabin at the top crashed, there are fears of victims,” wrote on Facebook by Umberto de Gregorio, president of the public transport company EAV who manages the cable car, calling the incident “tragedy”.

In the cabin while the accident took place, there were four tourists and one operator.

The tragic event is probably due to the severe wind blowing in the area, as well as in the dense fog.
The cabin fell into a ravine, with several Italian media estimating that it broke one of the wires on which the cable car is moving.
The last checks on the security of this infrastructure had been carried out a year ago.
The passenger who was injured during the fall of the cabin is hospitalized in a Naples Hospital Intensive Care Unit having suffered multiple injuries to the lower extremities.
