The Euroleague announcement

Fennerbahce’s Sarounas Yasikevicius was declared the coach of the year “Aleksander Gomelskiy” for the period 2024–25 and became the first Lithuanian to receive the award.

Despite numerous injuries, it led Fenerbahce to a record 23-11 and second in the regular season. Yasikevicius is now the first person to win Euroleague as a player and later declared a leading coach in the league.

His leadership helped Fenerbahce to draw most of the away wins in the league, while keeping the playoffs in a difficult season.

Yasikevicius was selected by his counterparts – Turkish Airlines coaches at EuroLeague – as the recipient of the top coach of the season.

Fenerbahce will now face Paris for a place in Abu Dhabi’s Final 4.
