Commission for duties: In the US the Commissioner of Trade for a negotiating solution

In the US today (14.4.2025) is the Commissioner of Trade EUMaros Sefkovic, as part of her efforts to find a negotiating solution with USA For duties.

According to the Commission’s announcement, “if the talks do not prove to be satisfactory, EU countermeasures will be implemented, while noting that the EU’s further countermeasures against the US are continuing.

Finally, the Commission announced that it has issued two legal acts today by which it imposes and suspended its countermeasures respectively. The first act imposes the EU countermeasures. The second act inhibits all these measures by July 14, 2025.
