On Facebook, the official page of the Marathon uploaded an emotional video showing Yfantidis finishing at the Panathenaic Stadium, completing the course of the 42nd Authentic Marathon.
The president of SEGAS, Sofia Sakorafa, presented him with a medal and the special prize that is traditionally given to the last “finisher” of the Marathon.
His feat is a reminder that every crossing of the finish line is a victory.
