4.2% increase in business turnover in October 2024

The turnover (total turnover) of businesses of all branches of economic activity, in October 2024, according to the data published today (11.12.2024) by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).

For all businesses in the economy with an obligation to keep double-entry books, for which data are available on a monthly basis, ELSTAT says that the turnover in October 2024 amounted to 33.057 billion. euros, marking an increase of 4.2% compared to October 2023, which had risen to 31.715 billion. euro.

The largest increase in turnover in October 2024 compared to October 2023 was shown by the companies of the construction sector, by 29.5% and the smallest increase was shown by the companies of the information and communication sector, by 0.7%, while the largest decrease presented by mining and quarrying companies, by 4.8%.
